Roamware Launches Updated Roaming Software

Roamware says that it has released a new version of its roaming traffic redirection software. Roamware's TR 6.0 solution enables real-time steering of outbound roaming traffic to preferred roaming networks in the visited locations. TR 6.0 does this by steering customers to networks that support the services to which the roamer has subscribed, including CAMEL (prepaid roaming), GPRS, MMS and the virtual home environment.  more

Strong Global Demand for MMS and Mobile Email

Multimedia messaging (MMS) has become a popular service among mobile phone users worldwide and mobile email may have even greater potential, according to a survey commissioned by the GSM Association. More than 40% of the 3,061 consumers surveyed by Circle Research in Europe, North America and Asia regard MMS, which allows mobile phone users to swap pictures, music and video, as an indispensable service, while 38% see mobile email in the same light. more

Cingular Expands MMS Delivery

Aicent say that it has signed a Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) Interworking Service agreement with the USA based, Cingular Wireless whereby Aicent will offer its global MMS footprint to Cingular in establishing MMS interconnections with global mobile operators in North & South America, Europe and Asia. Global MMS implementation will start immediately. more
