100 HSDPA Netwoks Now Live

The Global mobile Suppliers Association (gsa) has announced that 100 HSDPA networks have commercially launched mobile broadband services in 54 countries. The gsa says that two-thirds of commercial WCDMA operators have also launched HSDPA, and 89 HSDPA networks have entered commercial service over the past 12 months. more

GSA Reports Huge Progress in 2006 on 3G Evolution

GSA Says HSDPA Launched in 50 Countries

gsa - the Global mobile Suppliers Association, says that 138 mobile network operators have committed to HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) deployments in 63 countries, and commercial HSDPA mobile broadband services are now available in 50 countries. Recent launches by Entel PCS, Chile (the first in Latin America) and MTC, Namibia raised the number of commercial HSDPA networks to 91. GSA Confirms 50% Jump in HSDPA Network Launches in 3 Months

gsa - the Global mobile Suppliers Association has announced that 130 mobile operators have committed to HSDPA network deployments in 60 countries, of which 73 networks have commercially launched mobile broadband services in 42 countries. It means an increase of 25 in the number of commercial networks in the last 3 months, representing 50% growth. The first HSDPA networks entered service just one year ago. gsa estimates there will be between 85-90 HSDPA networks in commercial service by end 2006. more

130% Increase in HSDPA Device Launches in 6 Months

The latest in a series of regular surveys published by gsa - the Global mobile Suppliers Association, reports that 58 HSDPA-enabled devices have now been launched by 18 suppliers. It means that the number of HSDPA products entering the market has increased 130% in 6 months. The survey also confirms that the majority of devices are handsets (26 models), ahead of PC cards/embedded modules (24), USB HSDPA modems (4) and wireless routers (4). more

Nearing Two Billion GSM Customers
