GSA confirms more than 150 operators in 64 countries are investing in LTE

The Global mobile Suppliers Association (GSA) has published an update to its Evolution to LTE report which confirms that 156 operators in 64 countries are currently investing in LTE. This figure comprises 113 firm commitments by operators to deploy commercial LTE systems in 46 countries, and a further 43 "pre-commitment" trials or pilots in an additional 18 countries.  more

GSA reports growing momentum as LTE network commitments accelerate past 100

Global Mobile Phone Subscribers to Reach 4.5 Billion by 2012

According to MIC (Market Intelligence Center), an ICT industry research institute based in Taipei, global mobile phone subscribers hit 3.1 billion in 2007, thanks mainly to the continuing increase of prepaid subscribers with double SIM cards and corporate clients in the US and European markets.
