DoCoMo Windows Mobile Handset Using TI Chipsets

Texas Instruments has announced that its OMAP2430 applications processor was selected to deliver advanced multimedia capabilities to fujitsu's new F1100 smartphone. The new fujitsu handset, which also uses TI's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity technology, is the first Windows Mobile phone available on DoCoMo's 3G network.  more

Fujitsu improves 3G base station power amplifier

fujitsu Laboratories says that it has developed and successfully implemented highly efficient transmitting power amplification technology that also compensates for signal distortion in W-CDMA based 3G communications systems. fujitsu has incorporated this technology in an LSI and used the chip to develop the world's most compact, energy-efficient transmitter amplifier for 3G base station systems. more
