UK enterprises wasting £264 million per year on mobile costs
A survey of UK businesses has suggested that companies are wasting money by not deploying fixed-mobile convergence systems within their offices. The research showed that on average large enterprises were spending £209,150 each year on mobile calls, yet the IT directors surveyed estimated that 42% of their employees' mobile calls were being made from within the office. more

A recent poll by Comptel Corp has found that operators around the globe have not prepared their OSS for the advent of Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC). The poll, carried out at ComptelĂ's annual user group, found that while 41 per cent of respondents stated their OSS was 'somewhatĂ' ready, 39 per cent admitted to being completely unprepared for FMC. Unnecessary Mobile Costs Hit British Businesses
British businesses may be leaking money through inefficient use of work mobile phones, according to a new survey from Inclarity, the hosted Voice over Internet (VoIP) provider. The research, conducted in September 2007 in conjunction with YouGov, polled 2,003 people across Britain and revealed that 31 per cent of employees who work in an office make work-related calls from their mobiles when in the office more than two or three times a week. Of those, 65 per cent make work-related calls from their mobile phones more than two times a day. more
