Russian Phone Retailer to Close Indian Subsidiaries

Russian mobile phone retailer, euroset has decided to close its two subsidiaries in India. The company opened its first outlet, under the Ultra brand at the beginning of last year. Citing a source in the company, RIA Novosti said that the subsidiaries were closed on the decision of the new owner, who is, "not interested in investing in India".  more

MTS Confirms Interest in Taking Stake in Russian Mobile Phone Retailer

Russia's MTS has confirmed that it is interested in buying a minority stake in the country's largest mobile retailer, euroset. The retailer was raided by police on two separate investigations last week - one related to claims of fraud and the other an alleged kidnapping by an employee several years ago.
