Krusell's Top-10 Handset Sales Chart for April
The Swedish manufacturer of carrying cases for portable electronics, Krusell, releases its "Top 10"-list for April 2009. The list is based on number of pieces of model specific mobile and smart phone cases ordered from Krusell during April 2009. Krusell's list is unique due to the fact that it reflects the sales of phones on six continents and in more than 50 countries around the globe.

BSNL Launches 3G Services in 11 Cities
ericsson has issued an update on its Sept 2007 contract win from India's BSNL - and says it achieved the country's biggest simultaneous launch of 3G services to date, across 11 major cities. As part of its roll-out strategy, BSNL plans to launch 3G services using WCDMA/HSPA technology across more than 700 cities in the first phase. more

Joburg to Get City-Wide Wireless Internet Network
ericsson says that it has been chosen by the City of Johannesburg (CoJ) to help establish a city-wide, high-speed broadband network. The first phase of the ‘Joburg Broadband Network Project' (JBNP), the rolling out of the network's fibre core, which will take around three years to complete, will begin in April 2009. more
