As expected, German mobile customers topped the 80m mark with ease in the final quarter of 2006, ending the year at 81.6m after net additions of 2.24m in the three months. Alcatel-Lucent is set to take over several network business divisions of Germany's e-plus. Under the terms of the network outsourcing agreement, e-plus Mobilfunk will transfer the operational business divisions responsible for the operation, maintenance and deployment of its cellular network to Alcatel-Lucent with immediate effect. more
