Mobile Ticketing Goes Mainstream: Over 2.6 Billion Tickets by 2011
New research published by Juniper Research has estimated that over 2.6 billion mobile tickets will be delivered to just over 208 million mobile phone users by 2011. The report found clear evidence that the sector is gearing up for major launches over the next few years. Early trials, mainly led by mobile network operators, are now migrating into commercial services that are controlled by the ticketing issuers themselves. more

HSPA Connections to Reach 40 Million by End of 2008
WCDMA HSPA cellular connections are expected to reach 40 million worldwide by end of 2008, according to figures from Wireless Intelligence. By 2010, WCDMA HSPA is expected to represent around 45% of total WCDMA cellular connections, which are also on track to exceed GSM connections by 2010 in those countries where the network has been launched. more
