Alcatel-Lucent Demos LTE Running at 800Mhz in Europe

­Alcatel-Lucent says that it has successfully completed the worldwide first LTE data call on the 800 MHz "European Digital Dividend" (EDD) spectrum band in a live network. The call was completed last month at Alcatel-Lucent's LTE end-to-end solutions center in Stuttgart, Germany, involved transmitting high-definition video streaming over the air using Alcatel-Lucent's commercial infrastructure platforms and prototype mobile devices.  more

Vodafone Germany Testing Huawei Supplied LTE Equipment

Vodafone Germany and Huawei are to start joint test gauging the performance of LTE in the Digital Dividend radio spectrum - 790-862MHz. The test will be based on Huawei' s end-to-end solutions and both parties will form a joint working group for conducting the test.  more
