Malaysia's Digi Reports Full-Year Revenues Up 10%
Malaysian mobile operator, digi has reported an after-tax-profit of RM1.1 billion (US$304 million) on the back of a 10% growth in revenue to RM4.8 billion (US$1.3 billion) in 2008. The rise in revenue was driven by steady demand for mobile services and an increase in subscriber base to 7.1 million at the end of 2008. Average revenue per user (ARPU) maintained at RM59 (US$16.35). more

Malaysian Operator Reports 12% Increase in 9 Months Revenues
Malaysian mobile operator, digi has posted revenues for the first nine months of this year of RM3.58 billion (US$1 billion), up 12% from the corresponding period last year. Average revenue per user (ARPU) was sustained at RM59, and the subscriber base reached 6.8 million. more

Malaysian Operator Offers Free Medical Insurance Policies
Malaysian mobile operator, digi has launched a promotion which offers free medical insurance to all its contract subscribers who have had a mobile phone for over three months. The deal offers RM10,000 (US$2,900) personal accident (PA) coverage insured by AIG General Insurance. The service will be made available via SMS activation minus the hassle of complicated forms and need to deal with agents. more

Malaysia's digi has reported an 80% jump in profit after tax to RM566 (US$154) million for the nine months ended 30 September 2006. The 80% increase in the profit after tax (PAT) from the corresponding period last year was on the back of RM2.7 billion (US$735 million) revenue which rose by 31%. more
