Malaysia's Digi Reports Full-Year Revenues Up 10%
Malaysian mobile operator, digi has reported an after-tax-profit of RM1.1 billion (US$304 million) on the back of a 10% growth in revenue to RM4.8 billion (US$1.3 billion) in 2008. The rise in revenue was driven by steady demand for mobile services and an increase in subscriber base to 7.1 million at the end of 2008. Malaysian Operator Reports 12% Increase in 9 Months Revenues
Malaysian mobile operator, digi has posted revenues for the first nine months of this year of RM3.58 billion (US$1 billion), up 12% from the corresponding period last year. Average revenue per user (ARPU) was sustained at RM59, and the subscriber base reached 6.8 million. more

DiGi Malaysia Q2 08: Disappointing Customer Growth but Solid Financials
digi is MalaysiaÃ's third largest mobile operator by customer numbers behind Celcom and market leader Maxis. Between the end of 2001 and the middle of 2007 it saw a steady rise in market share, narrowing the gap between it and Celcom from over 15pp to less than 2pp. However, since Q2 07 Celcom has responded strongly while digi has flagged somewhat, and by the end of Q1 08 Celcom had restored a market share lead of more than 4pp, with 31.2% to digiÃ's 27.0%. more
