The company has developed two separate radio communications systems for the Storm Water Management and Road Tunnel (SMART), being constructed by the Government of Malaysia. It is installing an emergency services and maintenance communications system in the city road tunnel in Kuala Lumpur, along with a multi-operator 2G and 3G cellular communications system for traffic using the motorway. more

The digi Connect WAN GSM is a gateway that offers an alternative to landline data connections by utilizing Cingular's GPRS/EDGE network for backup network connectivity. Siemens Mobile has been commissioned by mobile communications service provider digi Telecommunications to continue to provide EDGE technology on its network - now for the Klang Valley region to the north and south of Kuala Lumpur. Already in May 2003 Siemens was awarded the order to set up Asia's first commercial EDGE network for digi in the capital of Malaysia. more
