Dell Rumoured to be Planning Android Based Computers

Computer vendor, dell - which is rumoured to be working on a range of smartphones - is also now understood to be looking at tapping Google's Android operating system for future products. Dell Reported to be in Talks for Chinese Smartphones

dell Computers, which has been rumoured to be entering the smartphone market for several years, is now hotly rumoured to be in talks with China Mobile to launch its first range of handsets in the country. The company has been apparently rebuffed by several operators who considered prototype handsets as bland an uninspiring. Verizon Wireless Rumoured Looking at Selling Netbook Computers

US network operator, Verizon Wireless is reported to be preparing to join the growing trend for mobile phone networks to sell netbook computers. A report by Bloomberg News said that at least one netbook has passed internal compatibility tests and that others are being run through the program.  more

Psion Acts to Protect its Netbook Trademark

The burgeoning netbook market for smaller, typically mobile enabled computers may face a minor setback as Psion has been asserting its rights to the term Netbook when used for a brand name. Although Psion no longer makes the mini-computers, it did release a range of products under the netbook brand, and still retains the trademark.  more
