Telefónica O2 has selected Nokia Siemens Networks to extend its mobile networks in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Under a three-year contract, Nokia Siemens Networks will be the sole supplier of the 2G and optionally 3G networks covering Slovakia and 2G and 3G in the Czech Republic's two major cities, Prague and Brno.  more

Nokia Siemens Networks Wins Azerbaijani EDGE Upgrade Contract

Telkomsel Boosts Mobile Broadband Capacity with 3G Direct Tunnelling

Nokia Siemens Networks has helped Indonesian operator, Telkomsel to increase its HSDPA throughput by moving toward a flat architecture with Direct Tunnel, a software upgrade to the packet core network that simplifies the network and the data flow between the end-user and the Internet. Tunisian Operator Upgrades GPRS Core Network

Tunisian mobile operator, Tunisiana has modernized its GPRS core network following an upgrade contract which was awarded to Nokia Siemens Networks. Nokia Siemens Wins Bangladeshi Network Contract

Teletalk Bangladesh, the state-owned mobile operator, is to double its subscriber capacity after agreeing a network expansion project with Nokia Siemens Networks. The company will build out capacity for Teletalk with the modernisation of its core network, including mobile softswitching, packet core, and Home Location Register (HLR). This marks the first supply deal in Bangladesh for the Nokia Siemens Networks' mobile softswitching.  more

Verizon and NSN Set New Record for 100 Gbps Optical Transmission

Verizon and Nokia Siemens Networks have taken a step closer to being able to transmit commercial traffic at a speed of 100 Gigabits per second (Gbps) traffic.
