Macedonian network in move to boost ARPU

comverse has announced the deployment of "Who Called" for Macedonia's Mobimak. comverse's Who Called notifies consumers by SMS of phone numbers associated with inbound calls that cannot be completed for reasons such as: out-of-range user, depleted device battery, turned off device, or if a caller reaches the voicemail system but hangs up without leaving a voice message. The result is that a portion of total calls that were formerly lost to the network are now made available to subscribers, which can lead to an increase in network traffic and additional revenue when Who Called users call back the initiators of the reported calls. more

T-Mobile improves its voicemail service

T-Mobile in Germany has incorporated comverse's "call return" facility into its voicemail server. Call return integrates a single-keypress call-back option into the voicemail system. The service, offered to T-Mobile's contract customers, is expected to generate additional revenues by increasing call traffic. Currently in use by more than 50 wireless and wireline operators around the world, call return is cited by T-Mobile as one of the most popular and successful enhanced services. Call return is one of the key components of the comverse ImPact solution which is designed to support an increase in ARPU through capabilities such as enhanced messaging and notification, music-based entertainment applications, and a voice-controlled user interface. more
