Clearwire Launches Test WiMAX Network in Silicon Valley
US WiMAX network operator, clearwire has launched a preview developer network in California's Silicon Valley. The developer network, which is a precursor to commercial service planned for the San Francisco Bay Area in 2010, will cover more than 20 square miles in Santa Clara, Mountain View and parts of downtown Palo Alto, California. more

Clearwire Launches WiMAX Network in Las Vegas
clearwire has formally launched its WiMAX network in the Las Vegas region, covering 1.7 million residents across 638 square miles. In addition to the launch of the Clear service, the company also announced that, starting next month, it will offer the Clear 4G+ mobile USB, a dual-mode 4G/3G modem for customers who travel outside of WiMAX coverage areas that roams onto Sprint's nationwide 3G network. more
