Motorola Wins Chinese 3G Contract
Motorola says that it has won a W-CDMA contract with China Unicom for an undisclosed amount. Under the contract, Motorola will provide China Unicom with W-CDMA radio access network equipment, packet switched core network (PS core), and 2G/3G interoperability functions that will enable the integration of China Unicom's GSM and W-CDMA networks. more

China Mobile Profits Up; But ARPU Down
The Hong-Kong listed arm of China Mobile has reported that its first quarter profits rose by 5.2% compared to the year before, to reach RMB 25.21 billion (US$3.69 billion).
