Henan Mobile Conducts China's first Direct Tunnel trial

Nokia Siemens Completes 2nd Phase of China Mobile TD-SCDMA Rollout

Nokia Siemens Networks has announced that it is one of first vendors to complete phase two deployment of China Mobile's 3G network, based on TD-SCDMA technology. Nokia Siemens Networks has been working with China Mobile subsidiaries Fujian Mobile, Henan Mobile, Jiangxi Mobile and Hainan Mobile to deploy their respective 3G networks.  more

Nokia Siemens Networks Wins Chinese Contracts Worth $1.1 Billion

China Mobile and China Unicom have separately signed agreements to purchase 2G and 3G mobile equipments and services from Nokia Siemens Networks during 2009. Under the framework agreements Nokia Siemens Networks will roll out WCDMA networks for China Unicom in 11 provinces across China. In addition, it will provide China Mobile with TD-SCDMA and GSM networks.  more

Nokia to Launch TD-SCDMA Based Phones by End 2009

Nokia has reaffirmed its commitment to China's 3G standard, TD-SCDMA at the Mobile Asia Congress in Macau. Mr. Colin Giles, President of Nokia China, said at the event: "Nokia firmly supports the development of TD-SCDMA. Our goal is to not only develop TD-SCDMA products that can deliver outstanding user experiences to consumers, but also to work with operators, chipset providers, developers and all parties along the value chain to support the creation of a vibrant TD-SCDMA ecosystem in China."  more

Nokia Siemens and Ericsson May Win 20% of Chinese 3G Tender

China Mobile is expected to announce the winners of its US$4.4 billion 3G network tender, with Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) and Ericsson both expected to receive around 10% of the contract each. The contract is for the second phase of China Mobile's trial TD-SCDMA based service which aims to expand the network to a further 28 cities.  more

Nokia Siemens Wins $865 Million Chinese Contract

China Mobile Communications Corp., the parent of Hong Kong listed China Mobile has entered into a frame agreement with Nokia Siemens Networks for its network expansion project. Under the contract Nokia Siemens Networks will design, build, maintain and optimize the radio and core network for China Mobile, which will include the Flexi base station, mobile softswitching and Operating Support System solutions in key provinces and cities across China.  more
