ZTE Makes First VoIP Call on EV-DO Revision B Network
China's ZTE says that it has achieved the world's first EV-DO Revision B (Rev.B) VoIP Call on its cdma2000 system. The company has completed the first stage of achieving EV-DO Rev.B and adopted 3-carrier bundling technology, with each carrier having a bandwidth of 1.25 MHz. Compared with mature commercial EV-DO Rev.A, what ZTE's EV-DO Rev.B does is to only upgrade EV-DO Rev.A's software, with no additional hardware equipment required. Both ZTE's EV-DO Rev.A and Rev.B adopt identical baseband chipset. more

ZTE Tops Worldwide CDMA Contracts in 2007
China's ZTE says that it has topped the global CDMA market in terms of the number of CDMA contracts signed in 2007. This finding is based on a report published by China MII's CATR (China Academy of Telecommunication Research, December 2007). The report shows that ZTE has 43% of the CDMA infrastructure contracts signed in 2007, placing the company way ahead of its competitors worldwide. more
