China Telecom Aims for 3G Launch Within Three Months

Nokia Expects to Support China's TD-SCDMA Standard

Nokia is planning to support all three of the proposed 3G standards in China by releasing handsets for each of the networks. It is anticipated that China Mobile will use the Chinese developed 3G standard, TD-SCDMA, while China Telecom will use cdma2000 and China Unicom will use WCDMA.  more

China Unicom 3G Network to be Deployed Nationwide

China Telecom Industry Restructuring - Positive but 3G Uncertainties Remain

The debt ratings agency, Fitch has commented that the recently announced telecommunication (telecom) industry restructuring in China helps somewhat towards resolving the uncertainty that has surrounded the industry for years. TD-SCDMA Will Dominate in China, but Faces Tough Going Elsewhere

Sales of China's Communications Equipment Remains Stable in Q3

China's CCID Consulting has noted that there are four major factors behind China's telecom power supply market in 2007: TD-SCDMA going to commercial use, 2G expansion, service outsourcing and the breakthrough of abroad scale. Due to seasonal changes in the communications equipment industry, with Q1 and Q3 as low seasons, and Q2 and Q4 as midseasons, telecom power supply also follows a similar seasonal trend. Generally speaking, the sales volume reached 71 thousand sets and sales revenue reached 960 million Yuan in 2007Q3. Both of them descended over 2007Q2.  more
