CDMA Certification Forum Now the Sole Certification Authority for all CDMA2000 Devices

­The cdma Certification Forum (CCF) has announced that the CTIA cdma Certification Program has been integrated into the CCF certification process by creating a CTIA Certification Market Endorsement. This latest milestone comes in addition to the cdma Development Group (CDG) transferring its 1, 2 and 3 test guidelines and endorsing the CCF as the official certification authority for all cdma2000 devices worldwide.  more

Nokia Siemens Completes 2nd Phase of China Mobile TD-SCDMA Rollout

Nokia Siemens Networks has announced that it is one of first vendors to complete phase two deployment of China Mobile's 3G network, based on TD-Scdma technology. Nokia Siemens Networks has been working with China Mobile subsidiaries Fujian Mobile, Henan Mobile, Jiangxi Mobile and Hainan Mobile to deploy their respective 3G networks.  more

Femtocells Deliver 5-Times Speed of Macro Network in Operator Trials

Femtocell developer, Airvana has published results of performance tests of the company's HubBub cdma femtocell which it says demonstrated dramatic improvements for indoor 3G coverage and performance when compared with using the existing macro-cellular network alone. Based on the results of side-by-side testing, a typical HubBub user can expect to achieve broadband data rates throughout their house of approximately five times that of the existing wireless macro network.  more

Huawei and Intel Open WiMAX Test Lab
