CDMA Subscriber Base Passed 480 Million Worldwide
The CDMA Development Group (CDG) has announced that high-growth markets such as Africa, China and India are raising the number of CDMA subscribers worldwide closer to half a billion. At the end of the first quarter of 2009, there were 480 million subscribers to the CDMA family of technologies worldwide, including 472 million 3G CDMA2000 and 120 million EV-DO broadband users. more

EV-DO Mobile Broadband Tops 100 Million Subscribers Worldwide
The CDMA Development Group (CDG) says that CDMA2000 and 1xEV-DO technologies have surpassed 450 million and 100 million users, respectively, worldwide. The total cumulative cdmaOne and CDMA2000 subscriber base has reached 463 million, growing by 12 million net subscribers during the second quarter of 2008. more

CDMA Subscribers Passes 450 Million Mark
The CDMA Development Group (CDG) has announced that the CDMA industry continued its strong growth through the first quarter of 2008, increasing its customer base by almost 17% over the past year to 451 million CDMA subscribers worldwide, with CDMA2000 and CDMA2000 1xEV-DO reaching 438 million and 97 million, respectively. The Asia-Pacific (APAC) and Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) regions claimed the highest year-over-year percentage subscriber growth for CDMA2000, while the Americas and EMEA experienced the highest percentage of subscriber growth for CDMA2000 1xEV-DO. more

CDMA Worldwide Subscriber Base Reaches 431 Million
The CDMA Development Group (CDG) has announced that CDMA subscribers grew to more than 431 million, and CDMA2000 grew to more than 417 million during last year. The CDMA Development Group (CDG) has announced that the total cumulative cdmaOne and CDMA2000 subscriber base reached 421.4 million after growing by 20 million net subscribers in Q3 2007. The CDG also reports that the 3G CDMA2000 subscriber base has reached 400.4 million. more
CDG on the Proliferation of CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Rev A Networks
The CDMA Development Group (CDG) has announced that there are now 47 operators in 33 countries that have selected CDMA2000® 1xEV-DO Revision A (Rev. A) to deliver advanced broadband services, of which 13 of them are commercial. The number of operators that have decided to deploy Rev. A has more than doubled within the past 8 months, with the greatest amount of adoption coming from emerging markets. more

CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Rev A Launched in Norway at 450Mhz
Norway's Nordisk Mobiltelefon (NMT) launched its CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Revision A (Rev. A) network last week in the country, notes the CDMA Development Group (CDG). The CDG says that this marks the first Rev. A deployment in the world within the 450 MHz band. Within the next few weeks, NMT is expected to launch Rev. A in Sweden as well. more

CDMA2000 Surpasses 400 Million Subscribers Worldwide in Q2 2007
The CDMA Development Group (CDG) has announced a very strong second quarter for CDMA and CDMA2000 new subscriptions worldwide. 1xEV-DO added 10 million new users in the second quarter and nearly 40 million in the year between June 2006 and June 2007. The CDG maintains its prediction that the number of 1xEV-DO subscribers will surpass the 100-million-user milestone in the fourth quarter. more
