CDMA Certification Forum Now the Sole Certification Authority for all CDMA2000 Devices
The CDMA Certification Forum (CCF) has announced that the CTIA CDMA Certification Program has been integrated into the CCF certification process by creating a CTIA Certification Market Endorsement. This latest milestone comes in addition to the CDMA Development Group (cdg) transferring its 1, 2 and 3 test guidelines and endorsing the CCF as the official certification authority for all CDMA2000 devices worldwide. more

Enhancements quadruple the voice capacity of existing CDMA2000 1X networks
The CDMA Development Group (cdg) has announced that the specifications for CDMA2000 1X Advanced have been completed and published by the 3rd Generation Partnership Project 2 (3GPP2). The 1X Advanced standard allows 3G CDMA operators to significantly increase the voice capacity of their CDMA2000 1X network by taking advantage of several interference cancellation and radio link enhancements. Among these improvements are base transceiver station (BTS) interference cancellation, improved power control, early frame termination, and smart blanking. more

Increasing Demand for CDMA450 Based Mobile Phones
The CDMA Development Group (cdg) says that increased uptake of CDMA2000 in the 450 MHz frequency band, also known as CDMA450, is placing an increased demand for new multi-mode and multi-band devices. Indonesia Leads Southeast Asia in 3G CDMA Subscriber Growth
The CDMA Development Group (cdg) has announced that, as of Q1 2008, Indonesia had more than 16.3 million CDMA2000 subscribers -- making it the leader in Southeast Asia for 3G CDMA subscriber growth.
