Vodafone has announced a partnership deal with Azerbaijan mobile operator, azerfon to offer co-branded services. Vodafone's products and services will be marketed in Azerbaijan under a co-branded approach and as part of a phased roll-out Vodafone will provide azerfon customers with access across 67 countries where Vodafone is present. The partnership with azerfon will allow Vodafone to offer its customers a range of services, which utilise 'home' network capabilities as well as extended coverage within Azerbaijan. more

Azercell Telecom Suspends Interconnection With Nar Mobile Over Unpaid Debts
Azerbaijan network operator, Azercell Telecom says that it will suspended interconnection with rival operator, azerfon due to claimed unpaid termination fees. Azercell Telecom says that azerfon, which trades as Nar Mobile, owes it AZN 11 million (US$13.7 million). more

Azerbaijani Operator Improves Network Coverage
Azerbaijan based mobile operator, azerfon (trading as Nar Mobile) says that it has installed 93 new base stations in the capital and regions in order to increase quality of the network since the beginning of this year. The bulk of the improvement was focused in the capital city, Baku where 52 new base stations were sited. more
