Iraqi Operator Faces a Series of New Terrorist Attacks in Baghdad

Iraq based mobile network, asiacell says that it is still the coming under terrorist attacks that are targeting its towers and network infrastructure. The company recently announced that its sales center in the Mansour area, located in central Baghdad, was attacked on the evening of the 4th of August, wherein two explosive canisters were placed and detonated in the front and the back of the building where the sales center is located. The attack resulted in the injury of three of asiacell's security personnel who were transferred to the hospital immediately.  more

Iraqi Operator to Offer Mobile Banking Services

Iraqi mobile network operator, asiacell says that it will be the country's first company to offer mobile banking, by implementing the project initiated by Amwal, which aims to enable all Iraqi citizens to settle their financial transactions using their mobile phones at any time and from any location without the need to visit their bank.  more

Asiacell's Towers and Staff Struck by Terrorist Attack

Iraqi mobile network operator, asiacell was struck last Sunday by a terrorist attack in the province of Kirkuk which targeted the company's towers and personnel. The company said that one of their security guards was killed as a result of the attack, while another suffered serious injury.  more
