Nokia has stepped up its legal battle with apple and today filed claims in the UK High Court, Dusseldorf and Mannheim District Courts in Germany and the District Court of the Hague, Netherlands, alleging that apple infringes Nokia patents in many of its products sold in these countries, including iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. more

Despite Recession - US Smartphone Market Still Growing
According to The NPD Group, consumer sales of smartphones to U.S. consumers represented 23 percent of all handset sales in the fourth quarter (Q4) 2008 compared to just 12 percent in Q4 2007.
