Google Launches Language Translation App for the iPhone
Back in late 2008, Google launched a translation tool for Apple iPhone users, the Google Translate HTML5 web app. The company has now upgraded that to a natively coded application written specifically for the iPhone and made it available via Apple's apps store. The new app has all of the features of the web app, plus some significant new additions designed to improve the overall translation experience. more

The British government Minister for Charities, Nick Hurd MP has written to Apple to seek clarification on why the company has blocked charity donations via PayPal being processed through iPhone apps. PayPal added the feature that permitted "one-click" donations in August and it had been used to raise US$10,000 in donations before Apple blocked it in October. more
