LG licenses GPRS technology for Chinese handsets

TTPCommunications has announced South Korea's LG Electronics as a partner for its GPRS software. This is the fourth GPRS customer to be announced by TTPCom and brings to 20 the number of companies that have licensed its GPRS technology. TTPCom's software features in the LG-G510 GPRS handset, a clamshell phone recently launched by LGE. The LG-G510 has received design awards in both Germany and Korea and the company recently received an order to export 500,000 of the handsets to China. more
