Anadigics Offers Power Amp for 3G Phones in the GSM900 Bands
anadigics has announced its new AWT6281 HELP3 WCDMA Linear Power Amplifier (PA) engineered specifically for use in 3G handsets operating in the GSM900 bands. The company said that the new power amplifier extends the operating time of 3G handsets and data cards, which is critical for successful operation using today's High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) networks. AWT6281 has been specified by leading chipset manufacturers for selected reference designs. more

Anadigics Launches CDMA450 Power Amplifier
anadigics has announced the availability of a linear power amplifier (PA) for the CDMA450-based cell phones and wireless local loop applications. The anadigics AWT6388 PA offers high power and low receive band noise (-134 dBm/Hz) for performance over the extended coverage areas of wide area CDMA450 networks. It is built using anadigics' InGaP HBT technology. more

Anadigic says that it has received production orders for its quad-band GSM/GPRS power amplifier modules from two GSM handset manufacturers in Asia. anadigics' AWT6108 GSM/GPRS PA module has been selected by a handset OEM in Taiwan for two new GSM/GPRS clamshell phones including a camera-enabled tri-band handset. The anadigics PA was also selected by an ODM in China for a dual-band GSM handset serving the domestic China market and scheduled for introduction in early 2004. more

These new power amplifiers are 55% smaller than a standard 6mm x 6mm power amplifier module package. All compliant with CDMA 1XRTT and CDMA 1xEV-DO standards, the AWT6112, AWT6113 and AWT6114, cover CDMA/AMPS applications, North American PCS applications, and Korean PCS applications, respectively. more
