Korean handset manufacturer orders CDMA amps
anadigics has received a production order from Sewon Telecom, one of Korea's leading wireless manufacturers, for its recently launched AWT6109 power amplifier (PA). The AWT6109 is compliant with all IS95/98 and 1XRTT CDMA system data standards, and is optimized for use in Korean band PCS CDMA products.
"Sewon Telecom has been growing steadily in the wireless market since 1988 by working with internationally recognized companies, and through its emphasis on customer satisfaction, integrity and strong technological skills," says Mr. Sung-Hyeuk Park, responsible for Business Development at Sewon Telecom. "Sewon Telecom is using anadigics' AWT6109 power amplifier in our new wireless modem card." The CDMA modem card is used in Mobile Media Tech's Strata PDA.
The 3.5v. high-efficiency, linear AWT6109 PA achieves full output power at a low quiescent bias current of 60mA. Manufactured using InGaP HBT (indium gallium phosphide hetrojunction bipolar transistor) technology it provides an industry leading ACPR (adjacent channel power rejection) performance of -53dBc and 35% Power Added Efficiency (PAE)." more

Anadigics to supply CDMA amps to South Korean manufacturers
anadigics has announced that it has received production orders for its CDMA based InGaP HBT power amplifier modules from two Korean-based manufacturers. The Company's recently announced AWT6109, which is designed specifically for Korean CDMA systems, and the AWT6106 CDMA power amplifier have been selected for use in new wireless modem cards and wireless handsets scheduled for Korean and US market introduction in 2002. more
