Huawei Works With Qualcomm on Mobile TV Trials
Huawei says that together with Qualcomm, it has successfully completed the industry's first commercial MBMS (Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service) mobile TV interoperability testing (IOT), a mobile TV solution based on 3gpp Release 6. The IOT was performed on Huawei's UMTS/HSPA network with handsets based on the Mobile Station Modem (MSM) MSM7200 chipset solution from Qualcomm. more

Anritsu Extends HSUPA Protocol Test Capability

Anritsu has announced the completion of what it says is the first 3gpp HSUPA protocol conformance test case. HSUPA (High Speed Uplink Packet Access) is a critical element in the delivery of high speed data rates on 3G mobile networks. This latest extension of 3G technology provides a major improvement to data transfer rates from the mobile terminal to the network by increasing uplink speeds from 384kbps to 5.7Mbps. more
