Small US Operators Form Trade Purchasing Body
Twenty-eight independent mobile operators and commercial mobile license owners in the USA have established a new company, NextGen Mobile, to help promote the existence of small and rural wireless companies throughout the country. The company grew out of a year-long dialog between existing mobile operators and winners of Advanced Wireless Services (AWS) and 700 MHz licenses in recent FCC auctions. more

Qualcomm: Nokia Pact Opens Opportunity to Work Together
NEW YORK -(Dow Jones)- Qualcomm expects its new licensing agreement with Nokia to add to fiscal 2008 earnings by 7 cents to 13 cents a share, according to Qualcomm Chief Financial Officer William Keitel. more
