­India's Department of Telecoms (DoT) has announced the latest dates for the country's oft-delayed 3G license auctions. India Finally Sets 3G License Fees

India's government has finally fixed the price for the country's long delayed 3G license auction. An empowered Group of Ministers (eGoM ) has set the base price for pan-Indian 3G spectrum at Rs 3,500 crore (US$714 million). The reserve price for WiMAX spectrum has been set at Rs 1,750 crore.  more

India's 3G License Auction Confirmed - Starts Jan 16th 2009

India's government has finalised the plans for its 3G and WiMAX auctions - with the 3G auctions starting on January 16th next year. Auctions for WiMAX licenses will commence two days after the 3G licenses are sold.  more
