Powerwave Technologies has announced that it has begun commercial deliveries of its proprietary designed 1900 MHz W-CDMA RF power amplifiers to Nortel Networks. This RF power amplifier product is utilized in Nortel Networks' iBTS W-CDMA base station, which is among the first commercial W-CDMA base stations in North America which can support high speed VPN access, audio and video applications, as well as advanced location-based features.
