Vodafone First to Offer MMS Interoperability in Netherlands

Vodafone says that it is the first mobile operator in the Netherlands to offer interoperability with all three other Dutch mobile operators. Vodafone customers can now send MMS messages directly to and receive MMS messages from KPN customers. Since March 6, 2003 Vodafone has offered its customers MMS interoperability with Telfort and T-Mobile.

Vodafone customers can use the camera on their Vodafone live! handset to take pictures. They can add text and/or sound and send the result as an MMS message to other Vodafone live! customers. Now it is also possible for Vodafone customers to view MMS messages from KPN customers directly on their mobile and send them MMS messages in return.

Vodafone has a trailblazer role in offering the latest MMS services. Using the Vodafone live! menu customers can have an MMS message delivered as a postcard by TPG Post. Or they can compose their own MMS photo album, choose from ready made MMS messages with images and sound, consult MMS info, use MMS dating or edit and send their own photo's via MMS MorphLive.

Vodafone customers can send and receive MMS messages both in the Netherlands as well as in the following 22 other countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great-Britain, Greece, Hungary, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, South-Africa, Sweden and Switzerland.
