CDMA Awards Ceremony Announced

Qualcomm has announced a call for nominations for the Company's first annual 3G cdmA-List Awards. The program will honor the most innovative and successful enterprise wireless data solutions based on CDMA2000 networks, devices and business applications. The A-List Awards will judge a nominees' wireless data implementation on overall creativity, innovative industry use or quantifiable return-on- investment (ROI) for that company.

The awards program is open to companies of all sizes in various stages of deployment utilizing an array of devices including PC cards, PDAs, smartphones, telemetry modules and phones. Companies in industries ranging from utilities and public safety to pharmaceuticals and insurance are encouraged to apply. Partner organizations including value-added resellers, system integrators, independent software vendors and wireless carriers, may also tender nominations on behalf of their customers.

A panel of distinguished judges will select A-list winners. Judges include: Maryfran Johnson, Editor-in-Chief, Computerworld; Mark Desautels, Vice President of Wireless Internet Caucus, CTIA; Iain Gillott, President, iGillottResearch; Bob Egan, President, Mobile Competency; Matt Purdue, Editor- in-Chief, Mobile Enterprise Magazine; Charles Nettles, Chief Technology Executive, McKesson Corporation; and James Ciriello, Executive Director, Institute for Leading in a Dynamic Economy, Boston University School of Management.

Winners will be recognized at a private reception in Las Vegas on October 21, 2003 at CTIA Wireless IT & Entertainment 2003.

"As CDMA wireless solutions for the enterprise become increasingly prevalent and the technology continues to advance, companies that choose to implement wireless programs for their businesses enjoy distinct advantages over the competition," said Jan Dehesh, vice president of enterprise market development for Qualcomm. "The cdmA-List awards were created to honor those companies who have capitalized on mobile technology to enhance the quality of their business and advance their industry. Qualcomm looks forward to recognizing these leaders in next-generation wireless deployment."
