India's AirTel has become the first cellular service provider in the country to reach the magical figure of four million customers across the country. AirTel today has a pan India market share of more than 24.8%. With a planned investment of more than Rs. 1200 crores this financial year, across networks, AirTel has aggressive plans for the mobile market.
On this significant milestone, AirTel announced the launch of "AirTel Happy Plan", India's most customer-friendly plan to stay mobile. The breakthrough plan redefines the value proposition of post-paid product, which will benefit millions of intending and current mobile customers who prefer the convenience and comfort of being mobile. The creation of this new plan is based on pan India research and customer feedback. AirTel Customer research indicates that around 30% of mobile intenders, prefer the convenience and comfort of being mobile on post-paid. However, in reality only 10-15% of mobile intenders end up choosing post-paid plans.
According to Mr. Manoj Kohli, President Mobility, Bharti Tele-Ventures Ltd., "We are delighted to reach the historical 4 million customer mark and thank our valuable customers across India for achieving this feat. We have always taken a lead in bringing the benefits to the customers through attractive and affordable tariff plans and innovative value added services. With increasing number of customers choosing pre-paid plans, we have bridged the 'Value gap', which is perceived to be a differentiator to these intending customers by launching "AirTel Happy Plan" for post-paid customers. In a cluttered telecom space with multiple tariff plans, the "AirTel Happy plan" is not just simple, but offers unparalleled benefits & a fantastic value for money." "
