
The Czech Republic's GSM network, Oskar says that it added 66,900 net subscribers in the second quarter to reach 1,337,500, an increase of 25% compared to 1,071,300 subscribers at the end of the second quarter of 2002. Oskar's market share reached 15% at the end of the second quarter representing year-on-year growth of 2%. Oskar's results are largely attributable to the focus on postpaid growth. As of June 30, 2003, postpaid customers accounted for 41% of Oskar's subscriber base compared with 27% a year ago.
