TeliaSonera sells Telia Mobile Finland TeliaSonera has agreed to sell Telia Mobile Finland to Finnet OY. The disposal of Telia Mobile Finland has been required by the EU for approval of the merger between Telia and Sonera. No financial details were provided.
The deal is expected to be completed during the first half of 2003.
The transaction is conditional upon the necessary approvals from the EU and the Finnish competition authorities. Finnet group consists among others of 33 local telephone companies, Finnet Ltd and Finnet Association. The group's turnover in 2002 was 770 million euros and it employs 4000 people. Finnet's main market area is Finland."
