Virgin Mobile USA continues to grow at a fast pace since its national launch in late July 2002. The MVNO says that it has reached 500,000 net subscribers in just nine months.
"Hitting the half-million mark is a major milestone for us," said Dan Schulman, Virgin Mobile USA president and CEO. "This is more evidence of the kind of traction we're continuing to build in the market. I also feel it's a clear sign that we're offering our target market a wireless option that is both new and relevant to their lives. We remain optimistic about continued growth for the balance of 2003."
Virgin Mobile USA has also been getting high marks for its customer service. Since launch the company has seen consistent and significant gains in quality and customer satisfaction, both of which are independently rated by Aon Consulting customer loyalty studies. According to these independent assessments, Virgin Mobile USA is quickly headed toward being named a world-class service leader for its industry.
"As a consumer champion in the wireless sector, we are committed to outstanding customer service," said Schulman. "Our goal is not only to be the best in the wireless industry. We want the overall experience of our brand to be on par with companies like Amazon.com or Land's End - organizations praised for their ongoing dedication to service and careful attention to the needs of their customers."
Virgin Mobile USA is a joint venture between the Virgin Group and SprintPCS, and operates on a CDMA network."
