
Growth of the public wireless local area networking (P-WLAN) market is set to continue in both the USA and Western Europe, according to a new report published this week by Analysys. This growth is being driven by business travellers' appetite for cheap and fast remote access to the Internet. The report anticipates that revenue will grow from US$33.4 million in 2002 (US$10.9 million in Western Europe and US$22.5 million in the USA) to US$5.5 billion by 2007 (US$2.64 billion in Western Europe and just under US$2.8 billion in the USA).
