
Eforce Holdings, Culturecom Holdings, and Mobile Telecom Network Holdings have announced the introduction of the Chinese 2000 Mobile Linux Operating System for mobile devices. The mobile industry's first Chinese language Linux operating system is a joint development effort by E-Force, Culturecom and Mobile Telecom. The Chinese 2000 Linux operating system has also been named as the official operating system of the Beijing Government in China.
For the first time, Linux-based handsets enabled by the Chinese 2000 Mobile Linux Operating System give mobile handset suppliers a flexible, low-cost product designed specifically for the Chinese market.
Mr. Chu Bong Foo, the "Father of Chinese Computing" and Vice-Chairman, Culturecom said "This announcement and collaboration with our partners will further expand Chinese 2000 Mobile Linux into the mobile market for all kinds of consumer devices such as mobile phones, PDAs, and other mobile computing devices." He added, "We are pleased to partner with marketing leading companies such as Eforce and Mobile Telecom."
Chinese 2000 Mobile Linux will be available in Q2, 2003."
