Tecnomen has been chosen to deliver a multimedia messaging service centre (MMSC) to Finland's Finnish 2G Ltd. 2G is a GSM/GPRS network operator whose service provider customers include DNA and Telia Mobile. Subscribers who do not have MMS-capable handsets receive an SMS notification and can connect to a service provider's website to view their MMS message.
"This agreement between Tecnomen and Finnish 2G further strengthens our position as an MMS provider in the Nordic region", says Ari Paganus, Tecnomen's Sales Director. "MMS product applications are expected to become very popular as combining text, sound and pictures brings a whole new dimension to person-to-person communications."
Tecnomen will deliver and install the necessary equipment and software, and assist in the initial launch of commercial services.'"
