"We are aware that some BlackBerry customers are experiencing issues," Vodafone spokesman, Simon Gordon, said. "Vodafone is working closely with Research in Motion to restore full service as soon as possible."
Although unconfirmed by the company, the network failure appears to be affecting customers across Vodaone's European markets, with some reports of failures also affecting Vodafone's South African subsidiary, Vodacom.
Although previous wide-scale failures have been caused by problems with the BlackBerry servers, its being suggested that this issue is isolated to a Vodafone component.
