The company was granted a telecoms license by the regulator last year and is currently seeking a listing on the local stock exchange to raise funds for such transactions.
The company aims to make tower management one of its core activities.
"We are negotiating with several telecom operators such as Celcom, Maxis, DiGi Telecommunications, U Mobile and Packet One Networks (Malaysia) to build our own towers as well as to acquire existing towers from them, and then lease back space on the towers to them," its co-founder and group CEO Sam Ooi Chin Khoon told SunBiz in an interview on Friday.
There are already several tower sharing deals between companies in the country, so the company will be entering an already competitive market.
