TracFone is 98% owned by Mexico's América Móvil and is said to be the USA's largest MVNO by subscriber numbers with an estimated 18 million customers. It operates both CDMA and GSM services in different markets.
Simple Mobile is one of T-Mobile's largest MVNO accounts and has over 1 million customers. Unlike TracFone it doesn't offer handsets and is a SIM-only operator.
It is thought that T-Mobile owned a 30% stake in Simple Mobile, although this has never been confirmed.
