The company said that it is just a beta application and is still under development - and also only works on the Xperia X10 with firmware version 2.1.
To use it, just select a direction, press the capture button and then pan the camera to shoot a panoramic photo.
Since it's a Beta version and they are still developing it, their customer service won't offer any support, though,
