
Nokia Siemens Networks has won a contract from TeliaSonera Finland for a 3G network expansion in the 900 MHz frequency. No financial details or rollout schedules were provided.
"Our customers demand high-speed high quality 3G service wherever they are. Nokia Siemens Networks' WCDMA/HSPA 900 solution will enable us to extend 3G coverage to the more remote areas of the country in a cost-effective way, extending the latest mobile broadband services to a growing number of customers," said Esa Rautalinko, CEO, TeliaSonera Finland.
Estimates from the Mobile World notes that TeliaSonera ended Q1 '09 with 2.7 million customers, representing a market share of around 38%.
