TeliaSonera Launches Unlimited Music Download Service

TeliaSonera has launched an "all you can eat" mobile music download service which will be offered to more than 13.3 million mobile customers in six countries. Telia in Sweden will be the first to release the service.

Subscribers will be able to download as many songs as they want, whenever they want, wherever they want, by artists from all of the largest record labels - EMI, Universal, Warner and several independent labels as e.g. Bonnier Amigo and Orchard.

"With a Telia Musik subscription, we are taking yet one more step towards giving our customers access to what is basically unlimited music," says Indra Ã…sander, Head of Product Management for mobile services at TeliaSonera.

In addition to downloading songs, it is also possible to create own playlists on Telia Music Player.

Telia's customers are offered three months of music totally free, after which they pay SEK 99/month for unlimited access, regardless of whether the music is downloaded to a mobile phone or computer. Data traffic for mobile music downloads in Sweden is included in the monthly fee.

The new service will soon be launched in other TeliaSonera markets, including Norway, Finland, Denmark, Estonia and Lithuania.
